Low molecular hyaluronic acid is one of the basic components of CLINICCARE skincare. Hyaluronic acid plays a vital role in metabolic processes such as cell interaction and synthesis. It helps protect cell immunity and helps preventing infections. One of its most important properties is its ability to retain moisture – up to 1000 times the weight of the acid itself. Natural repair of skin cells is directly dependent on levels of hyaluronic acid, which, unfortunately, decline as you age. This leaves skin more susceptible to toxins and all processes that require hyaluronic acid deteriorate. That's why it’s so important for age-defying formulas to include hyaluronic acid.
The problem with absorbing conventional hyaluronic acid is that its molecules are 3000 nanometers in diameter whereas intercellular space is only around 100 nanometers. This makes it impossible for conventional hyaluronic acid molecules to penetrate to deeper levels of the skin. CLINICCARE products include low molecular hyaluronic acid with molecules only 5 nanometers wide with high ionization levels as well, which means it can reach deep into the skin without the need for injection.
What is EGF?EGF stands for epidermal growth factor, which is a protein that naturally occurs in our skin cells. Its main purpose is to repair our skin by promoting DNA synthesis and cell proliferation. EGF has many benefits for your skin, including wrinkle improvement, hydration, and pigmentation prevention. The process by which EGF encourages cell growth also stimulates the division of keratinocytes and fibroblasts, which then synthesize fibrous proteins that improve skin elasticity such as collagen and elastin.
Because EGF repairs skin by stimulating the growth of new skin cells, it also enhances skin barrier. This allows skin to hold on to moisture better, so your skin becomes smoother and softer. Lastly, it inhibits melanin production during the wound healing process, so it improves acne marks and other forms of hyperpigmentation.
