Exuviance is advanced skincare made by the physician who discovered and took patent on alphahydroxy acid technology (AHA). Exuviance has two different compositions specially made for different skin types. One for normal/resistant skin and one for all skin-types including sensitive skin.
The creators of NeoStrata Company, Inc., Drs. Van Scott and Yu are internationally recognized for making the groundbreaking discovery that Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) have profound beneficial effect on human skin. Their passion and vision led to their subsequent research which established that AHA:s are not only beneficial in the treatment of dermatological conditions, but also in stimulating prematurely aged or damaged skin to actually rejuvenate itself - thereby revolutionizing the treatment of aging skin. Exuviance’s products are the only AHA-products that contain Gluconolactone (PHA). Source: Neostrata.com.
What is Gluconolactone?
Gluconolactone, also know as G4, is a revolutionary new Alpha Hydroxy from NeoStrata. G4 has two special properties that differentiate it from other AHA:s; firstly, it’s very gentle and doesn’t irritate sensitive skin. Secondly, it adds more moisture than other AHA:s since it has four hydroxyl groups instead of one. G4 is also an antioxidant and a natural cell nutrient. This means that it improves the skin’s appearance, while protecting the skin against environmental aggressors.
What is polyhydroxy acid?
Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid (PHA), gentle and ideal for people with sensitive skin. Clinically developed polyhydroxy acid provides more moisture to the skin due to its many hydroxy groups that binds water. Polyhydroxy acid is ideal for people with sensitive skin because it provides a more gentle exfoliation. Gluconolactone appears naturally in the body and has the same renewing and exfoliating properties as AHA:s.
Exuviance provides the effective type of skincare that previously had to be prescribed by a doctor. The products have been designed to help the skin with its natural exfoliation process. By speeding up exfoliation and stimulate the cell renewal process, dead skin cells will be eliminated, revealing a radiant, more youthful appearance. All products have been dermatologically developed and tested, but never tested on animals. Their formulations do not clog pores or cause acne. The eye cream is free from perfume and has been ophthalmologist tested. All of the products for sensitive skin are hypoallergenic.
Important to know about AHA
A common side-effect of using AHA is a mild burning sensation, tingling and itching. However this is normal and a reaction to the acids penetration of the skin. If the symptoms worsen, stop using and contact a doctor.

Getting used to New Skincare Products
Start by introducing one product at a time when switching to new skincare products. It takes approximately 2-8 weeks for the skin to acclimate to new products, and for you to see an improvement. Initially, you may experience worsening of the skin before it gets better; dryness, impurities and blemishes are common. This cleansing is normal and happens because the skin is wearing off the previous products. If you experience lasting discomfort, stop the treatment and contact one of our estheticians.
