The Full story
LeeJiHam Cosmetics (LJH) is the first company in Korea to develop and introduce cosmeceuticals to local cosmetics market. The term "cosmeceutical" is a combination of the two words cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Cosmeceuticals not only enhance appearance but also deliver nutrients necessary for healthy skin, thanks to biologically active ingredients.
Lee Ji Ham are a chain of Skin and Aesthetics Clinics with over 50 Clinics in S. Korea. The brand was founded by three dermatologists; Lee Yu-Deuk, Ji Hye-Gu, and Ham Ik-Byeong, as there was a lack of suitable skincare cosmetics products for their own skin and aesthetics clinic's patients.
All products are researched and developed to suit sensitive skin types, and even patients who have had aesthetics procedures done. Safety and effectiveness of LJH cosmeceuticals have been sustained by years of rigorous clinical testing at LJH Skin Clinics. LJH cosmeceuticals have shown outstanding result in maintaining skin healthy and treating and healing troubled skin.
LeeJiHam Dermatology Research Center was established in 2001 with approval from the Korea Industrial Technology Association as an affiliate research center of LeeJiHam Cosmetics. After its relocation to Daegu Haany University in 2005, it has been continuing more professional and specialized research and development.
LJH has seven patents for cosmetics composition and manufacturing process. On Science Day in 2006, it won science merit award. Based on the years of clinical trials from LeeJiHam Dermatology Clinic, it has developed various cosmetics with its own techniques including five Alpha Control Skin and Emulsion, Color Series, and Cellabel White-P Cream.

ACCLIMATION OF PRODUCTS
Start by introducing one product at a time when switching to new skincare products. It takes approximately 2-8 weeks for the skin to acclimate to new products, and for you to see an improvement. Initially, you may experience worsening of the skin before it gets better; dryness, impurities and blemishes are common. This cleansing is normal and happens because the skin is wearing off the previous products. If you experience lasting discomfort, stop the treatment and contact one of our estheticians.
General contraindications for products containing active ingredients (e.g. AHA products):
- If you are still using exfoliating products from a different line of products; stop using these 2 weeks prior to starting a new treatment.
- Do not exfoliate on sunburned skin (red/irritated) or newly waxed skin.
- Do not use if your are taking prescription medication for acne.
- If you are using prescription medication for acne e.g. Roacutan, you should stop taking the medicine at least 6 months prior to using products with active ingredients.
- If you are using topical creams to treat acne e.g. Aberela, Retinova, Zorac, Differin, you should stop using the product at least 2-3 months prior to exfoliating your skin.
